I need a change and they only thing (besides me losing weight, which is a very slow process) is my hair...so I need opinions PLEASE!!!

I'm getting my hair done on Monday I know I'm going super blonde, sorta like the top pic. But now the question is LONG OR SHORT. I love them both. I've been growing my hair out forever and I love it. But I rarley style it cause it takes forever to dry then I have to flat iron it. I have two boys and two jobs come on how often is it REALLY done LOL. I love the bottom pic from our family pics in 2008...thats probably how short I would go maybe a tad more cute a hot a-line :) So cast your votes I need to know!! Thanks much

WoW! I can't believe my baby is 18 months! My good friend Cortney took some pictures for me, I LOVED the way they turned out. Not super smiley but these pictures are totally him and show his personality alot! Stubborn HA! I love this kid more than words can describe he brings so much joy to our house, I love watching him and Ethan play and watch movies together. Having 2 boys is awesome no matter how much I wanted a little girl I'm so greatful I got 2 boys to play with!

Some stats and facts:

* weight 23 lbs

* wears size 18-24 month clothes (2t sometimes too)

* no more bottle= alot less milk drinking (any ideas on how to get him drinking more milk)

* sleeps like a champ usually goes down around 7:30-8 sleeps until at least 8:30, takes a 4 hour nap during the day!

* favorite movie MONSTERS INC hands down this kid is obessed

* loves our dogs Star & Marley

* Loves playing with Ethan and Daddy

* Eats ALOT

* favorite foods: bannanas, grapes, yogurt, ramen noodles, gold fish, loves meat too

* words he can say:

ju=juice

papa=grandpa ( usually means grandpa perkins)

* loves shoes, which he is pretty picky about, he likes to choose them has at least 15 pairs

* loves playing in Ethan's room, Ethan does not love that! His door is usually shut!

* runs to dad and gives him huge hugs when he gets home from work

* still sucks his binky (working on getting rid of that!)

* loves stuffed animals always carries one around

* loves blankets- he has a few favorites!

I could write so much more but I'll spare you! I love this kid and I'm so happy I'm his mama! Love you Brocky boy!

SaN DiEgO 2012

Mike and I along with my Aunt Amber and Uncle Rich planned a little getaway and headed off to San Diego! No kids either SCORE! Mike and I haven't been anywhere more than a night since we had Eth so almost 5 years that is a long time, we were in much need of some quality time alone! Our flight was Thursday the 12th I thought we left at 12:40 much to my dismay and Mikes awesome timing skills we missed our flight! BOO we were cutting it close anyways we ran to the gate and the door was closed :( So we got rolled over to the next flight but bad news we were standby so we waited almost 5 hours in the SLC airport finally we got on made it to Vegas then on to CA where we arrived at 7:00 whew...that was a long day! Now on to our adventures in sunny CA!

These guys were at the Safari Park, can you see the baby oh my heck "Monroe" was his name 7 months old and he was so dang cute we watched him forever, even came back later and watched him somemore! I wanted to take him home!I got good video i'll have to post!

Sea World was the first day (friday) and for some reason I was sick that morning throwing up...we got a late start, I felt better throughout the day. Luckliy we just walked and watched all the shows so it was pretty low key, not too many pics I honestly felt like poop :( we got one pic of mike and I but it's so nasty i'm not even going to post it, I look awful and fat!

We had an awesome time! Rich and Amber were great company, at night we would go to dinner YUM tons of great Mexican food in Old Town San Diego! Then we would hang in the hotel play hand n foot and gossip (HA) I missed my boys like crazy. They spent time with Grandma Perkins, Grandma Jacobs and Grandpa Lindsay, by the way a huge THANK YOU for all the help. Brock has been a little sad ever since we got home. He didn't like that mom and dad were gone for so long. I've done ALOT of cuddling with that little guy, I'm not complaining but I do need to get some laundry done LOL, he is getting back into the swing of things, sleeping, napping etc...hopefully in a few more days he will be back to his normal happy playful self!

Ponder this pic...

I saw this on Facebook and seriously LOVED it, and it's so true. Girls nowadays are an anarexic and digustingly skinny, you can see every bone in there poor bodies and they look like they haven't ate in days. I'm still on my dieting quest and wanting to lose 20-30 more lbs, but I love my curves and I will never look like one of those 4 girls at the top of the pick!

I'm back from San Diego so much fun pics and post to come later.

We tiled and painted our laundry room it looks awesome, so much better than before.

Lastly, I started an at home job. I work mon-fri 6am-10am today was my first day I liked it, I had alot of questions and I'm still learning but It will be great to earn some extra money while my boys sleep they usually don't wake up til 8:30 or 9 even. I'm not a morning person so I'll have to get used to waking up! Wish me luck

I absolutely HATED the pics with Santa that we took at Festival of Trees...notice a few posts down. I braved the crowds and went to the University Mall and got new pictures. I love them. Granted the boys are really smiling they are both looking and the picture is actually centered. So I learned my lesson no santa pics at fest of trees :)

We went to the festival of trees and got pictures taken with Santa....needless to say I wasn't very impressed. He was pretty fake! Normally they at least have a real beard, he DID not. Eth loved him so I guess that's all that matters. Brock was fine with him as long as he had his candy cane!
There picture taking abilities were not up to par either...I paid the 12 bucks and got the 5x7 and the cd, didn't love any of the pics. The one they printed is so off center and I hate it. Oh well learned my lesson won't get pics at the festival of trees anymore!

Thought this was good motivation...

I did good for a long time on Weight Watchers then I kinda fell off the band wagon...so I'm getting motivated again I only need/want to lose 20-30 more lbs yes that sounds like alot but it really isn't I lost the weight pretty fast the first time around so if I can stick to eating healthy and exercising hopefully by summer I'll be at goal weight and be feeling great and ready to swim! Wish me luck!

My Aunt Amber taught me last year how to make the yummiest caramel EVER! It's way easy and nothing beats caramel apples for great halloween treats! This is the second batch of 12+ apples that I've made. I took some to work, gave one to Eth's preschool teacher, a few friends and of course ate some my self...no wonder why my jeans feel snug ha. Anyways they are divine!

Toppings ready...white chocolate, chocolate, almonds, cinnamon and sugar, sprinkles, mini choc chips.

YUMMY all decorated

This one is by far the best. Caramel apple rolled in white chocolate then sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar oh my gosh so dang good!

Then I went to Dollar tree got these little halloween bags, printed out a little tag, tied some ribbon around it and there you go a cute and YUMMY treat!

CARAMEL RECIPIE:

1 Stick of butter

1 can sweented condensed milk

1 can white sugar

1 can brown sugar

1 can karo syrup

little vanilla

(use the "can" of your sweented cond. milk as your measuring can for your sugars and syrup)

Put all together in a large pot bring to boil, pretty much stirring the whole time. Once it's at a good boil let it boil for 10 mins ( I time it) this way you know your caramel isn't going to be too soft/hard. Once it's boiled ten mins take off stove let sit for 3 mins...then get dipping. I love Gala apple, honey crisp are great to, but use whatever you like! One batch of caramel does about 12-15 apples depending on how big that are. The last batch I did gave me 13. Your apples should be room temp, then I wash them take out the stem and put the sticks in. Have your apples ready so right when you caramel is ready you can dip them. The caramel needs to cool before adding the white chocolate, or whatever. I buy the "almond bark" in white and normal choc, I microwave it then dip my apples. Some of them I drizzle on just put the choc in a plastic baggie and cut a small hole. Then decorate how you want. Walnuts and almonds are good, sprinkles. mini chocolate chips whatever your heart desires. My fav is the one covered all the way in white choc then rolled in cinn and sugar!

For FHE on Monday night we decided to go to Cornbellys @ Thanksgiving point. It was a little bit more expensive than I had planned but to watch Ethan have that much fun was so WORTH it. There was tons of stuff for kids to do Eth was in heaven! He rode the "cow train" played in the corn maze, raced rubber duckys, jumped on bouncy houses, we all went on a hay ride I could go on but I won't bore you. We didn't end up staying that long cause it got dark and COLD soooo fast. We ended the night with hot chocolate, couldn't have asked for a better night with the family!

Sept 25th I turned 26 dang I'm getting old :) Mike took me to Park City for a night and we shopped at the Outlets ate some YuMmY food and stayed at the most beatiful place! Then Sunday (my actual bday) we went to Mike's moms and had a bbq and cake of course I had a great day, thanks to wonderful family and friends!

In Loving Memory

This past week has been really hard for me. My Aunt Cyndi passed away a week ago today. It was sudden and very unexpected. She was only 40 and had alot of life to live. I've never lost anyone close to me...I've lost my Great Grandparents but that's it. I still have all my grandma's and grandpas, uncles, cousins etc...so this was harder than I ever expected. Her funerel was Wed, it was beatiful but SOOO HARD. I've never cried so much or so hard in my life. By the end of the day I don't think I had any more tears to cry.

Cyndi was amazing and so loved. She wasn't married and had no kids but us the nieces and nephews were all like her kids. Even my two kids had a special bond with her. She will be missed so much. I can't even think of going to my Grandpa and Grandma Callisters house without Cyndi being there, family reunions, Easter, Christmas will not be the same with out her. Cyndi I love you so much I'll never forget you! You will always be in my thoughts and hold a piece of my heart!

1st day of Preschool

Eth's first day of school was a few weeks ago...so I'm a little late. But here is a pic of my cute boy! He LOVES school so much! He has a great teacher and has made some great friends. He goes Mon, Wed, Fri 9:30-11:45 he would go everyday if he could. It's nice to have some time with just Brocky while he is at school! I can't believe Kindergarten is next year CRAZY!

We had a great 4th of July! We went to Stadium of Fire which was awesome! Then on the actual 4th we went to my moms ate dinner and let the kids do some sparklers and then just did some of our own fireworks which the kids loved, plus it started to rain so I was kinda glad that we decided not to "go watch" fireworks

This year we went to Tremonton for our annual Callister Reunion. It's a camperworld by Logan. The pool is sooo hot water comes straight from the hot springs so really it's hot almost too hot sometimes. We played games, swam, did crafts and just hung out with family it was great!

GAH he is sooo cute! 1 year old!

My Birthday BOY!

Now my bugs is 1 so crazy. He is such a good boy, he sleeps through the night usually about 10-12 hours. Takes two 2-3 hour naps a day. Still loves his bottle, getting him on milk yay I don't have to buy expensive formula anymore. Rides in a big boy car seat. Is a piggy, this boy LOVES food especially bannana's eats at least one a day. Way good eater, grapes are his new favorite right now. Has 4 top teeth and 3 bottom. Weight 20.11 lbs (25 percentile) Height 30 inches ( 50 percentile) Loves mommy but I would have to say he is a Daddy's boy. Adores his Grandpa Perkins he won't even come to mom if Grandpa P has him! Cars and him are best friends he can play with cars all day and he even makes the little "vrooom" sound. Loves Eth, although Eth needs to learn to share better and remember Brock is still a baby. We have been swimming a few times and boy does he love the water! All in all I have a wonderful little boy and I couldn't ask for anything more. Love you Brocky!

I think it's safe to say SUMMER has arrived :) It's about dang time! I love the sun, I love being outside and I'm soooo excited that summer is here YAY!
Swimming...finally of course I picked a day were it was windy and overcast, but it was still tons of fun. Brock loved the water. We took Eth's friend Lily!

Brock and I left before the fireworks but Eth and his cousin Giselle stayed and loved them! Orem has really good firework shows!

Eth's Preschool Party: I have pics of his program (I will post later) but this was his last day of school his teacher had a little party in her backyard she had a bounce house which was a huge hit. There was hot dogs and treats. Plus her sandbox WOW I need one of those Brock and Eth played in that thing forever I could not get them out!

I ran my first 5k!! As I've mentioned before I'm doing Weight Watchers and every year (for the past 3 years) they have hosted a "Walk it Challenge" encourging everyone to a least walk a 5k, so 3.1 miles. I used to play soccer so I ran ALOT when I played. I've been going to the gym and running on the treadmill so I figured I could run it. My mom did it with me :) I started with her, but since her ankle surgery and stuff she wanted to go a little slower. So I took off and started running. I stopped and walked twice (got a side ache...lame) but I finished in about 30 mins so about a 10 min mile...I know I know not great. But I'm so proud that I did it and was able to run most of it and finish it. I felt great after! There is a half marathon in Logan in August and I'm gonna start training for that SCARY it's 13 miles I hope I can do it, I don't even care about my time I just wanna finish!

I've been doin some digital scrapbooking...using Close to my Hearts website Studio J. I love the way they turned out! They are so easy and so fun you can customize them alot. It's alot easier to keep up to especailly now with 2 kiddos. I've done 10, 2 page layouts. Mostly of Brock but a few of Eth too. I can't wait to do some more and catch up on much needed memories. As always Easter was wonderful. We went to my Grandma and Grandpa Callisters house Saturday afternoon and ate yummy food then the little kids went on an easter egg hunt. It was also my Grandpa, Colton, Dakota, my mom's b-day all that week so we ate cake and ice cream for that too! Shay, Greg, Brock and Dakota

Whats going on in the Lindsay life? LOTS! So here goes...

MICHAEL- Works at World Class Auto in AF and loves it, he has been there since end of December and it's seriously been the best job ever, he has a great boss, he gets paid well and the hours are awesome. They close at 6 p.m. and they are closed Sat and Sun which is great Mike has never had a job where he can be off on Saturdays. I can't wait for it to be warm so we can take full advantage of him having Sats off! He works alot which I'm so greatful for him for providing for us. He is a WONDERFUL DADDY, Ethan is his shawdow from the second he walks through the door to the second he falls asleep. Brock honestly lights up when he see's Mike, he gets so excited and flaps his arms HA it's sooo CUTE! He still LOVES to work on cars and do anything OUTDOORS, mowing the lawn, planting flowers playing fetch with the dog etc...Between work and daddy duties that pretty much is what he does...fun huh :)

ME- I still work at Outback which I might say I LOVE! I work 2-3 nights a week and it's so nice to get a break from the kids (and hubby hehe) I love everyone I work with I've made great friends and have the BEST BOSS ever! Plus the extra cash...who can complain about that right? I'm loving our house finally! We got back in our OREM house, we re-carpeted the whole thing, re painted pretty much the whole thing, and got new hard wood floors...so pretty much it's like being in a new place. We still have little things here and there to do but for now it's great! I love being a mom, sometimes it's so hard but in the end it's SO WORTH IT, my boys are the best! Nothing beats hugs and kisses from little Mr. Eth, he is such a lovey kid loves to cuddle and watch movies and randomly will just say "I love you mom" or "your pretty" ahhhhh melts my heart! I've been doing WEIGHT WATCHERS and it's going pretty good I've lost 18.8 lbs thus far...pat on the back for me! Losing weight is NOT easy especailly when you have a hubby who loves junk food and can eat anything and not gain an ounce! Plus I love to BAKE cookies, cakes whatever so that is hard when I just wanna bake and eat LOL. All my pants are starting to get big...which is good now I just need to finish losing weight and go on a SHOPPING SPREE. I wanna lose 19 more pounds then I will be at my goal weight so I guess I'm half way there! Hopefully I can make that by Brock's 1st birthday!

ETHAN- Just turned 4 can you belive it, I CANT! He goes to preschool 2x a week and loves it, he has made some new friends and can write his name...most the time anyway. I'm so glad I did preschool this year it was WAY worth it especailly for his social skills he is a shy kid but preschool has helped him a ton! We just bought him a full size bed and a new dresser so now his room is all "big kid " ha. Mike bought him a fish... his name is DINO and he will stand in his room and STARE at it for hours! He LOVES TOY STORY, 1, 2 & 3 oh my heck he would watch them a million times a day if I would let him! He has got Toy Story 2 down he repeats everything they say usually before they even say it! TARZAN is on top of the list too. He has become way independent he can sit and play with CARS for days, or he will just sit on the couch and watch movies. He does pretty good with BROCK...Eth is starting to get a little protective of "his" toys though I have to remind him Brock is a baby and he can't hit, pull his hair or whatever. But watching them PLAY TOGETHER is awesome I find my self just sitting there watching Eth give Brock a car or show him something or whatever, it's so sweet when he is NICE to him... he calls him BROCKY and I love it! I'm going to sign him up for soccer this fall that will be fun. He loves STAR (his dog) she sleeps with him every night, Eth would DIE without her! He is such a DADDY'S BOY!

BROCK- Mr. man is 10 months old...holy smokes! He has 4 teeth, 2 top 2 bottom, he weighs 20 lbs and he crawls everywhere fast too! He sleeps through the night about 8 pm to 8 am YAY once in a while he will wake up around 5 or 6 just give the kid a bottle and he is set. I weaned him about a month ago...so nice, so he just takes forumla which by the way i'm alreay sick of buying dang that stuff is expensive! He eats baby food too, he LOVES bannanas! He takes at least 2, two hour naps a day. He also is a DADDYS BOY, unless he is sick then he wants his mama. He has had 4 ear infections since Christmas gah...2 more and he will get tubes, Eth got tubes when he was 2 so I'm just waiting cause I'm sure Brock will get them as well. He is a pretty happy good baby, not as good as Eth was he seriously was an angel baby. But all in all I'm LUCKY with 2 great KIDS!

So to sum it up we are GREAT! Life is busy with two kids and a working daddy and mommy but we wouldn't have it any other way. We can't wait for SUMMER...the zoo, park, swimming pools, camping trips are all callin our names! Eth is especailly excited for EASTER he is at such a great age for holidays!

Eth makes the best faces...and he loves taking pictues of HIMSELF! These were taken back in Logan right after Brock was born so about 10 months ago...why I'm just getting around to posting them I dunno. I think there super cute and they totally show his personality. Sometimes this kid is sooo SHY around other people. But at home HA not at all he is crazy and loves to dance he is definatley a goof ball! Love you Eth bugs!

We spent the weekend in St. George a few weeks back! It was such a nice little getaway the weather was awesome 75 and sunny PERFECT! We watched Tanner play ball (he did awesome) did some swimming at the hotel, ate at a few resturants which I'm sure weren't good for the diet. Brock wasn't so good Thursday night he was up screaming pretty much all night finally we got about 2 hours of sleep I took him to Insta Care first thing Friday morning DOUBLE EAR INFECTIONS blah... got him on some meds and he was alot better the rest of the weekend! It was sure nice to getaway. I cannot wait for SUMMER!

I seriously can't believe my baby is 4! I feel so much older saying I have a 4 year old rather than saying I have a 3 yr old! He is growing up WAY to fast!

What he does/can do :

Brock is growing up tooo fast, he is 8 months old already CRAZY! He weighs 19 lbs, which is what Ethan weight at 1 year! He started sitting up by him self about 6 1/2 mos, got his first tooth 7 1/2 mos, Eth was 4 months when he started getting teeth, & he will take a bottle YAY!! He wouldn't take a bottle forever I tried and tried even if I pumped he wouldn't do it, I have pretty much every bottle out there finally he decided about 2 weeks ago that this "bottle" thing was pretty cool! I still nurse him at night but during the day we just do bottles and baby food (which he loves)
He likes the playtex ventair- same ones eth took :)
And he can hold them himself. but sometimes he is lazy and wants to to hold them but I don't mind love holding my little guy and rocking him to sleep still!

New Years Eve...Welcome 2011! We went to our good friends house Ben and Jammie's. All the kiddo's came too! We ate some pizza and treats played some games. It was great. All the kids even stayed up until midnight :) kiddos playin Bingo

Lets be honest 2010 'eh not the greatest year, expect for having Mr. Brocky nothin super special happened. We moved to Logan...moved back to Orem six months later. Rented our house out to lets be honest IDIOTS! They trashed it and didn't pay us rent ( that's next times post) Been at my moms since Nov. Trying to get our house fixed so we can move back in. Mike started 2 new jobs. Didn't really take any fun trips I was pregnant then had a tiny baby so all summer was sorta blah. I hope to make 2011 a good one. Pay off some debt, get into a house either ours or just any house at this point. Have an amazing summer with 2 cute boys, lots of pool time I hope! Of course made some resoultions which I plan on keeping! Number 1 on my list is losing weight! I started weight watchers just before Thanksgivng only went to 2 meetings then the holidays came so put in on a hault. Went to a meeting this morning and I've lost 9 lbs! YAY. Still have alot to go but I was so happy to see that I had lost weight! Hope everyone had a good New Years Eve and lets make 2011 one for the books :)

Christmas was great! Ethan is at the perfect age! He was so excited and loved every second of it! He actually thought Santa was gonna be at the house when he woke up. Brock really didn't care he would rather eat the paper and play with the boxes but he was still fun to watch! After my moms we went to Mike's mom ( all the pics are on her camera) then we went to Mike's dads (pics below) so we had a fun and tiring Christmas morning! We already took down our tree and Eth was pretty sad abou that, he would have that thing up all year round! Still kinda sleepy...

I really I mean REALLY want this bag! They are so cute and the best thing is they don't even look like a diaper bag, it's a Petunia Pickle Bottom, I haven't got one yet cause let's be honest they are EXPENSIVE! The top one is $169 the bottom one is $145. My awesome father in law gave me $100 bucks as part of my Christmas gift and my Grandma Callister gave me $20 so I can sorta justify buying it seeing as I got money for Christmas. The question is which one? The top one is alot bigger the bottom is smaller I can't decide which I would like more. Opinions please!

Ethan LOVED seeing Santa! This was at The Festival of Trees, and this Santa was AmAzInG, he for sure was the "real" Santa! Eth read him his letter, he wants an nairplane (airplane) and a scooter :) Don't worry the line was a joke, Mike stood in line for almost 2 hours, while me and my mom walked around and saw the trees, what a sport he is! We went and saw the Santa at the University Mall too, he was good as always! Got a cute pic with just Eth and Brock (i'll try to post later) Hope everyone is having a good Christmas Season! We went to 3 different houses for Thanksgiving. First Was my Grandma Callisters we went there the night before thanksgiving and ate with all my aunts, uncles, cousins etc...on my mom's side of the family. Then we slept over at Grandpa Lindsay's house and had french toast and chessy potatoes for breakfast the next morning, more cousins came to play. Later that night we went to Grandma Jacob's and had more turkey and potatoes. We were very full after 3 huge meals! We have a lot to be greatful for this year! One of them being all of our WONDERFUL families!

I saw this on the " Daily Dish" (anyone else watch that) anyways they looked so cute and yummy! I gotta keep Ethan entertained so we tried it out! I highly recommend them they seriously are so good and fun for the kiddos! Start with a box of devils food cake mix- don't make it from the box you just need 2 eggs and 3/4 cup water

let the dough chill- the daily dish website said like 10 mins but that didn't work for me I let them chill for like 20 but they could have chilled longer they were still pretty sticky. Roll into balls bake for 12-15 mins, again the webstite 8-10 but again I had to cook them alot longer! 350 degree oven

frost with cream cheese frosting- I made my own but you can buy some or whatever, black licorice laces for the legs and I put a dab of the frosting for eyes then bought a little tube of black frosting and put that in the middle!

The Circus comes into town EVERY year on my b-day! I always try to go, if not every year then for sure every other year! So we did-even if it was me who bought the tickets myself haha I wanted to go that bad! It was super fun like always, Ethan loved it so much, I almost liked watching Eth more than the actual circus just to see his face light up! Ethan LOVED the baby elephant they had he honestly wanted to take it home he cried in the car for a good 5 mins cause the baby elephant needed to come home with us at first I thought it was cute then it kinda got annoying that he really thought it could be our pet...I had a good b-day the big 25! These guys were huge on stilts it's kinda hard to see but the guy in the middle has Brock!

You go an hour early for the pre-show you can dress up, take pics get autographs etc...

Although I didn't get a cake this year :( My b-day was great thanks to my amazing family! Love you guys!

Pre-school

Ethan started pre-school! Do I really have a kid old enough to be in pre-school WOW! Well the first day was friday and he had a horrible ear infection so I didn't take him we went to the doctor instead...I didn't want his first day to be miserable! So Monday was his 1st day! He cried when I left but afterwards did great, the teachers said he would just come up every once in a while and ask what they were doing next. Today was he second day, it was Mike's day off so he took him again he cried when he left but did awesome after, so hopefully soon the crying will come to an end and he will just love going! It's so crazy to see him grow up so fast and walk through the door with his back pack on! Yep he wanted to stand by the fridge...weird oh well he is a cutie!

Brock's Blessing Day

Mike blessed Brock on Sunday, this was the first blessing of anysort he has ever done! He got ordained an Elder the week before, then the next week he blessed Brock. He said he wasn't nervous but I bet he was, I was probably nervous enough for the both of us. I don't know why that's just a big deal especailly in front of alot of people. But he did a great job and I'm so proud of him! Alot of family came up and it was awesome to have such wonderful support! I even got up the courage to bare my testimony and man I haven't done that in who knows how long! Everyone came over to our house afterward for some lunch, pulled pork sandwiches yum! It was an amazing day! Thanks everyone for making it so special! My Dad & Brock

Baby boy is 2 months, dang that went by so fast! So much faster when they aren't kicking you in your belly all day :)

Stats:
Weight- 12 lbs 15 oz- 80%- Ethan was 11 lbs at two months so Brock is bigger :0)
Height- 23 3/4- 80%
Head- 15 3/4- 50 %

He started smiling a few weeks ago its so cute I love it! He makes his little noises to!

He sleeps pretty good, not as good as Ethan at his age tho. He will sleep about 5 hours right when he goes down for bed then he is up every 2-4 hours so it totally depends. He did sleep 7 hours straight the other night and it was heaven I wish he would do that all the time! He still eats every 2-3 hours which is getting rather annoying LOL I try to make him go 3 but sometimes I give in at 2 or 2 1/2. I've tried to get him to take a bottle but he won't have it ahhh...I'm gonna work on it. It will just be nice if I wanna leave him that I know he will take a bottle if he needs to. Last but not least he absoutley loves his binky! I love my little man, he is such a good baby (knock on wood) he brings so much joy into our house! Ethan loves having a little brother!

Mike's 28th B-day

Mike turned 28! Dang he is getting old LOL! His birthday was friday and he had the day off WOW he barley gets days off well besides sundays so it was pretty nice that he was able to take off his b-day! We had a good day just kinda hung out at home I made his favorite breaksfast, french toast and bacon. He did have to run to work to interview someone so while he did that Ethan and I made his favorite cupcakes, and put up some balloons and decorations. Ethan loved decorating it was so cute! We opened a few presents, which Ethan told him what they were before he even un-wrapped them,,,guess i'll be doing my Christmas and b-day shopping alone from now on:) we went to Rumbi and had some lunch YUM! Then came home and just relaxed at home. Made spagetti for dinner and watched a movie. It couldn't have been a better day! Happy Birthday Mike, we love you!

The 4th seems like it was so long ago but really it wasn't, summer is sure flying by tho! We stayed in Logan for the 4th, We got some dinner, then did the snapers, the things you throw on the ground you know what I'm talkin about right? Then we just watched the fireworks, whcih Ethan LOVED! It was a good night, Shayla was with us so that made it even more fun! My boys :)

Callister Reunion 2010

This year we went camping at Echo. It was super fun like always! I love getting together with my family I look forward to this reunion every year! Brock was only like 3 weeks old so a tiny guy, lucklily we got to stay in the cabin so that was perfect, others stayed in trailers or tents! Eth could have lived at this river throwing rocks all day long

I went up Wed night with my mom, Mike didn't make it until Friday night- dumb work! But at least he came for a little bit

So Brock is finally here! YAY! He was born June 15, 7:25 am weighing 7 lbs 7 oz, and 18 1/2 inches long! I had a c-section, so there is my labor story :) I had a c-section with Eth becasue he was breech, so I had the choice with this one I was considering a VBAC but in the end I just felt good about another c-section. I just had a feeling I would end up having to have one anyways...so I didn't want to go though labor forever then still end up in surgery. Getting ready...we went in at 5:30 am, had him by 7:25!

Eth was 7lbs 4 oz, so about the same size

first time I got to see my little guy, don't mind how ugly I look in this pic...I had to stay on the 5th floor (labor and delivery) for an hour after the surgery. Then they took me down to the 4th floor (mother/baby) first Brock had low blood sugar then he had to go to the NICU for an hour cause he was having a little trouble breathing...eveything was totally fine they just like to be cautious but sucked for me cause I didn't get to see him for 4 hours I was seriously going nuts. So at 11:30 I finally held him!!

Zoo/ Orem Summerfest

Love the zoo! We went with my aunt Cami and Cyndi, my mom, shay and Dakota (Colton was being a snot and didn't want to come) I was actually hoping all the walking around would put me into labor...but here I am still prego 10 days after walking around the the heat for 3 hours, oh well it was way fun!

Ethan and Kiersi- aren't they cute (Kiersi is my cousin, so I guess it would be Eth's what cousin once removed or something weird like that?)
Orem Summerfest: They do this every year in Orem, always the second weekend in June, it's supposed to be nice and hot right! Nope it was so cold, what a joke! Oh well we still had tons of fun and Eth loved riding the rides! We won a couple gold fish and a frog to add to my mom's fish tank Ethan was pretty excited about that!
We went on Friday and it was raining and cold, yes in June how lame is that, but they got to make these cute hats (for free) and rode one ride then we headed home!

All the little kids rides are kinda lame but that's what a 3 year old LOVES, he could have rode them all day!

At the parade! So we laid down are blankets about noon on Sat, the day of the parade we were lucky enough to actually find a good spot so late. Anyways we came back about 6 and waited for it to start. Well half way threw this whole Mexican family (no i'm not racist) came and snuck in on the rode just to the left of Ethan, ok whatever that's fine the rode had some space but they were standing the WHOLE time it was so rude and it wasn't one or two people it was SIX, I didn't really care that I couldn't really see but poor Eth had to wait until the stuff was right in front of him to see anything. Don't you worry the stood the whole time and like 3 more people joined them I was SO ANNOYED, if your gonna come sneak in a spot that clearly is taken even tho there might be a tiny bit of space at least sit down and be respectful of the people who came early set up blankets and chairs and what not! I would have asked them nicely to sit but ya they didn't speak English so that wouldn't have done any good. I'm not a racist person at all I have a sister in law who is mexican so what, I just think if it was a white family or whatever they would have had the common courtsey at least to sit! Ethan still loved the parade and so did Kota and Colt so oh well I'm still just bitter about the situation.
Time for fireworks, which were awesome I think they did such a good job!

I'm almost 38 weeks and so ready to be DONE! Good news at least at my 36 week appointment Mr.Brock decided to be a good boy and flip, so he is head down YAY! So as of now I think I'm gonna try for a "normal" deliverly. I've already started to dilate and whatnot so that is a good sign, my doctors are really opptomastic that I should be fine, they just watch me REALLY close and things are done a little differently since I've already had a c-section. My 37 week appointment they kinda talked like I prob wouldn't be to much longer and that I may not even make it to June 15th (the day my c-section was scheduled for) told me if I had somewhere to stay in Orem that it wouldn't be a bad idea just to stick around, so I drove down to my moms today (fri) and will just stay down here until he is born. So everyone just keep your fingers crossed for me that he comes SOON so I can be done and have a new baby boy to hold!

35 weeks baby!

So I'm 35 weeks, the countdown in on! My last doctors appointment we determined this baby is also BREECH, in exactly the same position as Ethan was ironic right? So therefore I don't have a choice in trying to have a VBAC I will for surely be having another c-section. It's scheduled for June 15th, exactly one week early, so that means I got 4 weeks left YAY!!

So far we are loving Logan, well we really live in Smithfield, but it's all the same. I love our house and we live in a great neighborhood with tons of little kids. So hopefully Ethan can make some new little buddies! Mike loves his new job. Way less stressful than pep boys. Right now he is working 6 days a week which kinda sucks, but it's only for this month, so I can't wait til June so he can have more than just Sunday off!

What's NEW

#1: is that we are moving!! Yep Mike got a new job still pretty much what he did at Pep Boys, just a different and smaller company. He was really getting tired of Pep Boys and all the stress so he put is resume on Monster and got quite a few calls and interviews. He got offered a job up in LOGAN so that's where we are headed. We went up and in one day found the perfect house to rent in Smithfield, that's just north of Logan. We really need to sale our house down here in Orem, but for now we will just rent it out. So if anyone is looking for a 4 bed 2 bath house in Orem to rent send them my way:) I've been boxing and boxing this whole week and Saturday is the big day we will try and get everything moved up!

#2 : went to the doc for my 32 week appt. baby isn't head down...yet at least so if this little guy doesn't flip the right way then I won't have a choice in wether or not to have a c-section. Ethan was never head down from about 34 weeks on he stayed breech so I guess we will see what Mr. Brock decideds to do. I'm still debating wether or not I even want to try to have a normal delivery. I'm leaning more towards a c-section but maybe he won't turn and then my mind will be made up for me anyways. This little guy kicks and kicks so MUCH it's crazy I do not remember Ethan being this active sometimes it seriously hurts how hard he kicks. The other day I told Eth that his little brother was kicking me really hard and he said " ya he wants to come out and see Shayla" haha so funny!

#3: The twins turned 8 and got baptized! Crazy they are eight already! Eth loves Colt and Kota so much he loves playing with them and asks pretty much daily to go and play. Ethan will MISS them so much when we are in Logan!

#4: A few weeks ago my mom kicked one of Ethan's toys and broke her little toe...then last Sat (same day as the twins baptism) she feel down the stairs and broke her ankle/foot (same one as the toe injury) I get a call from Colton about 10 am saying mom feel down the stairs and hurt her foot and asked if I would come over (since greg wasn't home) I went over my mom was balling and her food was huge and swollen and all sick looking. She couldn't move at all so how was I gonna get her down the huge stairs outside the house to take her to the ER? Well Greg got home helped her down the stairs and into the car. Got to the ER yep it's broken and bad too. They let her leave to go the the baptism then went back to have surgery. A metal plate and 8 screws later she's done. She can't put ANY pressure on it for 6 weeks! Poor mom, at least she got to see the twins get baptized even if she was a little druged up!

#5: I worked my last shift at Outback last night! I loved working there and I'm sad to leave! I work with awesome people and have an awesome boss too. I won't be working in Logan at least for now, maybe later if I start going crazy I'll look for a job there is no outback up there just a Texas Roadhouse and Ruby River...my last table last night was these 3 ladies. They were super nice and loved to talk to me ended up that they were from Logan (ironic) they gave me all sorts of good info names of doctors and what not. Well there bill was $63 and they gave me $100 bill and told me to keep the change!! Not to shabby a $36 tip way to leave on a good note since earlier I got a $8 tip on a $90 ticket :)

Anyways I guess thats it for now...I'll be down here for doctors appt every 2 weeks then every week for a month I'll still deliver at Utah Valley. So lunches will need to be in order when I come home... CARLI!!

Happy Easter

Easter was way fun! We colored eggs at my moms with the twins, then we went to my Grandma Callisters house for dinner and an egg hunt. Sunday morning the Easter bunny visited Eth, he was so excited it was way cute. Then we had another egg hunt at Mike's moms. It was a good day!

Eth had to have Jaysi help him find eggs- she is my cousin Eth has loved her ever since we went to disneyland last summer with them

Ethan is POTTY TRAINED!!! YAY I honestly thought the day would never come! Alot of it was my fault and I kept going back and forth between diapers and underwear, so I buckled down and got it done and it's so NICE!!

My friend at work told me to give him a "cold shower" when he has an accident to clean him up and that you would only have to do it once and he would never do it again. Well I kept telling Eth that he was gonna get one but I just didn't have the heart to actually give him a cold shower.

Sunday I decided it was all or nothing and I put him in undies and he had a pee accident and he went and changed himself underwear and pants so I didn't give him one. Then he went #2 and he was hiding from me and crying saying he didn't want a cold shower well this time I wasn't giving in... I gave him a COLD SHOWER it wasn't frezzing but it was cold and Ethan likes his showers and bathes HOT!! He balled the whole time just asking for his daddy. I was so sad I felt so mean.

But it WORKED he has only had one accident and that was last night...we were at artic circle getting some ice cream then we let him play in the play area I asked him a few times if he needed to go he said no, well by the time we left he was wet. The whole ride home he just said " no I don't want a cold shower, k mom" I told him we will see and he has to tell me even when we are playin when he needs to go potty. Of course Mike was home and so Eth got out of his cold shower. (mike is a sucker)

But I think that it's pretty awesome that is 5 days he has only had ONE ACCIDENT, Good job buddy. It's been so nice not to have to worry about diapers although I do have to bring an extra outfit everywhere we go just in case.

He still wears a diaper or pull up at night, every morning he wakes up wet or poopy. I think that will be a whole new thing to tackle the night time training... so if you have any suggestions with that by all means PLEASE SHARE them!

On a different note... I'm starting to feel very pregnant and FAT I'm 27 weeks I will say that it has gone by pretty FAST I only have 3 months left...kinda crazy I'm sure these next months will crawl by tho :( I just ordered new crib bedding online and it's SO CUTE I can't wait to get it!!

We like the name BROCK...it's pretty much the only name Mike and I both agree on. I like Dyson but oddly enough no one else does they say it's the vacuum which it is but oh well Mike hates it so I guess it's out too. I like Talon Mike doesn't. So for now I guess it's Brock but it pretty much changes on a daily basis.

Lastly I CAN'T WAIT to be back in our OWN HOUSE. Our renters our out the end of May and it couldn't come soon enough. We will re-carpet the whole house and paint Ethan's room BLUE and paint the babies room and probably the living room. So if anyone wants to come paint or clean feel free to keep the first week of June open :)

We just went to Target and we praticed before our "smiles" and he was bribed beforehand with balloons that is he did good thats what he would get...uh....this is what we got. The twins had a sleepover, and Mr. Bear wanted to join the fun. Usually we can't get this dog in the house. He loves the outside. But when the kids are around he came right in and layed down

My Mom and Greg and tickets to the Jazz- Nuggets game 10th row seats no less and invited Mike and I to go with! It was so fun, such a great game JAZZ WON, and the seats were AMAZING! Thanks again Mom and Greg!! And thanks to Grandpa Lindsay for watching little Ethan bug for us!

Potty Training Adivce

Ethan is almost 3, and I figure it's about time to get him potty trained. He has had a potty for awhile and he will go on it once in awhile. He has he sticker chart and a treat jar that every time he goes he gets a sticker and a treat. I bought this "Elmo's Potty Time" video that I heard was supposed to help.

Thus far all of this has been unsucessful. Somedays he loves wearing big boy underwear and other days no way he wants to wear a "baby diaper" I haven't really pushed it cause I don't want to scare him. But I really want him to be trained before I have baby #2 in June there is NO WAY I want two kids in diapers.

He loves Chuck E Cheese so I've tried to bribe him with that saying if he goes two days wearing underwear all day without going potty in them that we will go to there. He will go about a day in a half do so good and tell me he needs to go or just go by himself then all the sudden he will just go in his underwear. One day after two pee accidents then a poop accident I had enough and back on a diaper it went.

So I need some adivce on what I can do to get this kid potty trained!!!

I'm having another boy!! I thought for sure it was gonna be a girl since this pregnancy was SO different from Ethan but I was wrong! It's FOR SURE a boy! We are really excited and Ethan will love having a little brother to play with!

New washer & dryer

I got a new washer and dryer! YAY! They are kenmore front loading ones and so far I love them. It took me awhile to convince Mike I needed some I think after about a week of no clean laundry he finally gave in and decided it was worth it! I got them on thursday and have loved doing laundry for the past few days...hopefully that love stays awhile haha!

Christmas

Christmas was amazing, we had such a good time spending time together as a family. Even though we didn't get to go to San Diego like we had planned it was still awesome! Ethan loved Santa this year, he sat on his lap TWICE. We watched tons of christmas movies, especailly Santa Buddies. He loved opening presents, he opened mike and I's too! He for sure got spoiled as you'll see in the pics! All in all, christmas was great, can't wait til next year I'm sure he will love it even more!!

Winter Wonderland

We have got tons of snow down here in Utah County, we took advantage of it and went sledding! Ethan loved it, I don't think he has ever had so much fun in his life he was cold with his red little nose but he could have stayed out there all day! We bought this huge inner tube and it went so fast but it was awesome I even went down once or twice :0)

That's right I'm pregnant!! I'm just over 12 weeks and have been sicker than a dog...we or I hope that means it's a girl since I wasn't sick AT ALL with my little Ethan bug. Mike still thinks/hopes for another boy but about 2 more months til we will find out the fate of what baby number 2 will be! Ethan is so excited and if it's not a little sister for his sake we are going to have some problems, he is sure that it is a girl!

Festival of Trees/ Temple Square

Temple square was so pretty! Very Very COLD, but fun at the same time! We went with Mikes dad, Boyd and Hannah too. We ate first at Stoneground a pizza place in SLC and it was so yummy! Then decided to walk to temple square- not such a good idea since it was about 5 blocks away and it was so cold, so on the way back we took trax or Eth calls it the train and that was much nicer and faster too!

I love going to Festival of tress every year! The trees are amazing I don't know how they come up with so many ideas. We didn't see santa there cause it was only a 2 HOUR wait ummm.... I'll pass. The wreaths were also awesome too! Can't forget the scones and hot rolls oh my heck so dang yummy! We also bought just a little fudge also a big hit!!

Yes we are crazy and got yet another dog, she is an austriallian shephard husky mix. Her name is Bella, as you can tell she is Ethan's dog, he wont put her done he LOVES LOVES LOVES her. Lets just hope we can train her fast!!!

Halloween was way fun, Eth was a monkey as you can see a very cute one at that. We went trick or treating with the twins he mostly wanted to eat the candy as we walked...we came home early and watched a movie and went to bed, but a way fun night!

Craft Night

We had another craft night!! My aunts, Grandma, mom and my sister Heidi went to my Aunt Jo's house and crafted the night away. It was alot of fun we do them about once a year...but I think we need to do them more like 2 or 3 times a year hint hint. We did some cute things so here are some pics.

I made a little pilgram trio thing to go with this but I didn't finish mine so I will finish them before thanksgiving so I can use them :)

My b-day was Sept 25th! I'm the big 24 yay. We had a little bbq with the family that was fun, and Mike bought me and Ipod touch which I love!
