5k

I ran my first 5k!! As I've mentioned before I'm doing Weight Watchers and every year (for the past 3 years) they have hosted a "Walk it Challenge" encourging everyone to a least walk a 5k, so 3.1 miles. I used to play soccer so I ran ALOT when I played. I've been going to the gym and running on the treadmill so I figured I could run it. My mom did it with me :) I started with her, but since her ankle surgery and stuff she wanted to go a little slower. So I took off and started running. I stopped and walked twice (got a side ache...lame) but I finished in about 30 mins so about a 10 min mile...I know I know not great. But I'm so proud that I did it and was able to run most of it and finish it. I felt great after! There is a half marathon in Logan in August and I'm gonna start training for that SCARY it's 13 miles I hope I can do it, I don't even care about my time I just wanna finish!

Woot Woot! that a girl! Your looking good! I'm pretty sure I couldn't do a 10 minute mile when I was in high school so way to go!

go girl! you get red just like i do when i run. i ran the logan half last august. it is a good one because you are running down the canyon. i loved the race. at the time i swore i would never run another half and now here i am 8 months pregnant wanting to start running the second my 6 week recovery is up. it was SO much fun. you should find someone to run it with. it is a lot of work to train for but you can do it for sure!!

GOOD FOR YOU! HOly cow. And a half marathon?? Good luck! Thats awesome! I need to start working out again, I went on a walk with wakely the other day and I was sore!! How Sad is that??
